What a glorious day for tag rugby with Angie. We played team games and passed the ball to our partner. We needed to remember to 'be ready' when we receive the ball. #PECassInf

In Science today we discussed what we know about the human body. Outside we drew around our partner then labelled the body parts we knew. We sang a song about our body with the help of Mr Tumble but what was the song called? #CassInfScience

We have finished reading 'Jack and the beanstalk' as part of our Once Upon a time topic. Hadi said 'I loved the giant because he was very shouty.' Taha said he liked the part when the giant chased Jack.' #CassInfEnglish

Good morning Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday. Children will need to come in wearing their PE kit. Forest school is on Tuesday. Please ensure your child has brought in a pair of wellies. Thank you

The children have worked very hard this week and are settling in well. This afternoon we completed our self portraits. When I asked for highlights today Hannah said 'I love Year 1- its really relaxing.' Have a good weekend!

This morning we have been writing simple instructions about our class rules. We have collated lots of great ideas Well done Kingfishers!

We have had a great first day in Year 1! We also had three children go on the 'Tree of kindness' Well done! Some highlights: Taha said, 'I loved playing with my friends.' Leona said, 'I liked drawing my self portrait this afternoon.'

After break we talked about our family and then drew pictures of people who live with us. The children had their lunch in the dining hall and enjoyed being on the playground with their friends.

Welcome Kingfishers! What a lovely morning we are having. The children have had a tour of the class, sorted their equipment, had their snack & are playing in the playground with all their Year 1 friends. More updates to follow.
